ENS 186 Temporary Transition Stream

ENS 186 Temporary Residence Transition stream  is an alternative pathway for TSS 482 visa holders who have worked for the same employer for 3 years for TSS visa (Medium terms), and the same employer wants to offer them a permanent position in that occupation.

Contrary to the 186 Direct Entry steam, the Temporary Residence Transition stream has the following features:

  • Applicants must be nominated by the same employer under whom they have been working with;
  • Applicants must hold a subclass 457 , TSS or related Bridging visa A, B, or C;
  • Applicants have worked for the same employer for at least 3 years full time while holding a subclass 457 or TSS visa;
  • Applicants must meet the Competent English language requirements: IELTS overall score 6.0 (with at least 6 for each of the 4 components) or PTE 50 (with at least 50 for each of the 4 component). There is no English exemption to the English language requirements for this stream of the visa;
  • If applicants have worked in the same occupation while holding the subclass 457 or TSS 482 visa for the past 3 years, they can be exempted from skill assessment;
  • The employer must have a valid standard business sponsorship before a nomination can be lodged;
  • Normally the applicant must be under 45 years of age at the time when they apply for the ENB 186 visa under the temporary residence stream. However age exemption is in place under a couple of circumstances, such as for the past 3 years, the applicant’s earnings met the Fair Work High Income Threshold for each of the past 3 years during that period.

Check with Korrylink for your eligibility for this temporary transition stream visa.
